Rimini won its series with UGF Bologna thanks to a 4-1 victory on Sunday afternoon in a make-up game of Saturday’s rainout. After Fortitudo had evened the score on a sac fly by Francesco Alaimo in the top of the seventh, Telemarket regained the lead in the bottom of the frame. They put three runs on the board, as Danny Gonzalez hit a sac fly, Mario Chiarini singled in a run and Lorenzo Avagnina stole home. The Pirates had led since the second, when they scored on an error. Sandy Patrone (RIM) struck out seven in six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and two walks. Michele Quattrini (W, BS) picked up the win after blowing the lead. Fabio Betto (BOL) issued four hits, a run and two bb in six innings. Alessandro Ularetti (L) took the loss.
Danesi Nettuno – T&A San Marino 5-4

After waiting to play since Friday Danesi Nettuno and T&A San Marino finally were able to take the field at the Steno Borghese Stadium on Sunday evening. Nettuno held on to an early lead and prevailed 5-4 in the end. They led 5-1 after five innings, but the Titans nearly came back, scoring once in each of the last three frames. But Max De Biase grounded out to second in the top of the ninth, stranding Carlos Duran at third. Giuseppe Mazzanti drove in two for Danesi. Francesco Imperiali homered for San Marino. Mark La Maccia (W) struck out eight batters in six-plus solid innings, conceding five hits, two runs and two walks. Tiago Da Silva (L) allowed six hits, five runs (3 ER) and three bb in six innings.
