Northern Division:

Dohren Wild Farmers – Pulheim Gophers 7-12, 7-2

The Dohren Wild Farmers and the Pulheim Gophers settled for a split in the northern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga on Saturday. In game one Pulheim scored five runs in the ninth en route to a 12-7 win. In the second match Dohren put four runs on the board in the first in a 7-2 win. Anderson Alvarez doubled four times in the first game, including in the ninth, to drive in five. Garrett Rogers homered in the first and picked up the win in the second.

Berlin Sluggers – Dortmund Wanderers 9-14, 2-9

The Dortmund Wanderers celebrated a sweep over the Berlin Sluggers on Saturday. In game one Dortmund scored in six of the first seven innings en route to a 14-9 win. Berlin actually out-hit the Wanderers in the contest, but left ten men on. Daniel Groer homered for Dortmund. In the second match Dennis Stechmann struck out ten batters in 8 1/3 innings to lead the Wanderers to a 9-2 win. Ales Keprta took the loss.

HSV Stealers – Solingen Alligators 8-11, 8-11

The Solingen Alligators collected a pair of 11-8 wins on the road against the HSV Stealers on Saturday. In each game Solingen had the better start and took a commanding lead. And every time the HSV offense woke up late in the game to make things interesting, without completing the comeback successfully. In game one the Alligators highlighted the contest with a six-run rally in the fifth. In the second it were two five-run innings, which decided the outcome.

Bonn Capitals – Untouchables Paderborn 1-6, 6-3

The Bonn Capitals ended the undefeated reign of the Untouchables Paderborn. After the U’s won game one behind a complete game of Eugen Heilmann by a score of 6-1 for their 14th straight victory, Bonn handed them the first loss in game two with a 6-3 score. A three-run homerun by Jon Marshall in the third put the Caps en route to victory lane. Three more insurance runs later sealed the deal. Paderborn loaded the bases in the ninth, but couldn’t push more than one run over the plate. Bryce Schoening received the win in his duel with Brian Fields.
