Danesi Nettuno and T&A San Marino met on Tuesday in the Italian Baseball League to make up two mid-May rainouts. In game one Kris Wilson (W) and two relievers shut down the T&A offense and led Danesi to a 7-0 win. Wilson issued just four hits and a pair of walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out seven. Jeff Farnsworth and Mike Natale closed it out. Nettuno had taken a fast 5-0 lead after two frames. Renato Imperiali drove in four. Giuseppe Mazzanti scored twice. Henry Bonilla (L) surrendered eight hits, five runs (4 ER) and a base on balls in four innings.

Game two started similar to the first one, as Nettuno took an early 2-0 lead after three innings and their pitching dominated. However San Marino came back, tying the contest in the sixth on two run double by Carlos Duran and winning it 4-2 thanks to a pair of RBI singles by Tony Granato and Francesco Imperiali in the seventh. Manny Alexander scored both runs for Danesi. Luca Martignoni (W) gave up just three hits, two runs (1 ER) and three bb in eight innings. Carlos Pezzullo (NET) allowed five hits and two runs in 5 2/3 innings. Massimiliano Masin (L) took the loss.
Italian Baseball League contiues
The Italian Baseball League continues tonight with another make-up game between Montepaschi Grosseto and the Catania Warriors. On Thursday week eleven in the IBL opens their gate, which is highlighted by the duel of Telemarket Rimini and T&A San Marino. Due to the make-up games of the Titans on Tuesday the matchup between foreign starters was switched from Thursday to Saturday. The playoff spots are also on the line as UGF Bologna takes on Grosseto and Cariparma faces Nettuno.
