With Venezuelan national teamer Roger Luque joining the club next week, HCAW completed a three-game sweep over ADO on Sunday to solidify fourth place in the standings. Kevin Roovers (W) issued just five hits and two walks in eight scoreless innings to lead Mr. Cocker to a 6-0 shutout. He struck out eight. Bart Gabriels went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple in the fifth and three RBI total. Adrian Anthony crossed the plate twice. Ludwin Obispo (L) surrendered nine hits, four runs and a bb in 5 1/3 innings.

DOOR Neptunus rallied for four runs in the bottom of the eighth to prevail 9-8 on Sunday, completing the sweep over Corendon Kinheim. With the win the club from Rotterdam extended its lead in the Dutch Hoofdklasse to four games. Dwayne Kemp, Eldrion Regina and Martijn Meeuwis scored three runs each. Shaldimar Daantji drove in two. Dirk van’t Klooster tripled twice for Kinheim and collected four RBI. Rene Cremer picked up three runs. Dushan Ruzic received the win in relief, Nick Veltkamp took the loss.
