In game 1, the Spartan offense started off with a bang, scoring three runs in the top of the first including a Blanco Ochoa two-run homerun. The Angels would get one run back in the top of the second. Nick Gentili led off the inning with a double and was brought home on a single by Cedric “Mad Dog” Nauts. After two shut-out innings of relief, Williams Rosario was touched up for two runs in the fifth inning. In the eighth inning the Angels cut the lead to three with a home run by Harry Clark. The momentum was short-lived, however, as the Spartans scored five runs in the eighth inning to put the game out of reach. The final score was 10-2. Alexis Marquez threw a complete game and earned the win. Kevin Desmedt took the loss for the Angels.

The Angels came out firing in game 2, scoring three runs in the top of the first. They expanded their lead with five runs in the fourth, highlighted by a grand slam off the bat of designated-hitter Williams Rosario. The Angels stayed hot, scoring three more runs in the fifth. On the other side of the ball, pitcher Aaron Brandt stifled the Spartan offense, striking out seven and giving up only one run and four hits over seven innings. Game 2 ended with the score 12-1 after seven innings due to the mercy rule. The Angels offense was led by Michel Legrand who gathered three hits in the game.
