Recaps: Lopsided Wins for Rouen, Montpellier and Savigny (with Video)

Savigny Lions vs Montigny Cougars – 25 Avril 2010

Paris UC – Rouen Huskies 4-12, 0-12

The Huskies improved to 4-0 for the season in the French Elite League with a pair of commanding wins in Paris. In game one Rouen scored six runs in the third en route to a 12-4 win. Anthony Piquet pitched seven solid innings for the win and contributed a bases clearing triple during the big rally. Luc Piquet scored twice and drove in two. In the second match Giovanni Ouin got the start for the missing Keino Perez and issued just five hits and a walk in eight scoreless innings to lead the Huskies to a 12-0 shutout. Aaron Hornostaj went 4-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored. David Gauthier hit a two-run homerun.

Montpellier Barracudas – Stade Toulousain 8-2, 13-0 (7)

The Barracudas swept their doubleheader against Stade Toulousain to pick up wins number two and three for the season. In game one Thomas Langloys went the distance to lead Montpellier to an 8-2 victory. In the second match Joris Navarro and Laurent Andrades combined to allow no runs in seven innings in a 13-0 shutout. The ‘Cudas scored five runs in the sixth. They produced a total of 26 hits in the two games.

Savigny Lions – Montigny Cougars 14-0, 12-2

The Lions celebrated two lopsided wins over the Cougars on Sunday. In game one Savigny took an early 8-0 against Montigny’s Justin Fry on the mound through five innings en route to a 14-0 win. Pierrick Lemestre, Thomas Salado and Chris Morel combined to throw the shutout. In the second game the Lions offense didn’t disappoint either, as they won by a score of 12-2. Eloi Secleppe, Kyle Nash and Tim Stewart pitched for Savigny.

The Templiers Senart were off this weekend.
