Gefle – Goteborg 2-6, 4-7
Goteborg won both games of a Swedish Elitserien doubleheader in Gefle on Saturday. In game one Curtis Dionne (W 3-2) allowed just three hits and three walks in seven scoreless innings to lead his team to a 6-2 win. Ryan Brown went 3-for-4 with a homerun and three RBI. Dane Youtz went deep for Gefle. In the second game Goteborg scored all seven runs of a 7-4 win between the third and the fifth frame. Leksand – Eskilstuna 5-3, 16-0 (7)
The Leksand Lumberjacks also celebrated a sweep, defeating the Eskilstuna Hammers in both ends of a twin bill. In game one Leksand broke a 3-3 tie by scoring twice in the bottom of the frame en route to a 5-3 win. Dan Lassak drove in two for the Lumberjacks, Johan Andersson for the Hammers. In the second match Leksand scored 14 runs in the first two innings on their way to a 16-0 rout in seven. Daniel Farth and Nicklas Melin combined for five hits, three runs and eight RBI in five at-bats.
