Fidel Torres Mane (W 7-6) allowed just seven hits in seven scoreless innings to lead San Inazio to a 10-0 win in game one of their two-game set against Halcones de Vigo in the Division de Honor on Sunday. Edward Adames and Tony Granadillo went a combined 5-for-7 with four runs scored and four RBI. Marcos Trillo had three hits in three at-bats for Vigo. Roman Carrasco (L 4-5) issued six hits, seven runs (2 ER) and a walk in three innings.

In game two Bilbao scored seven runs in the fifth en route to an 11-2 victory and the sweep over Halcones. This time Tony Granadillo, Kelvin Marianucci and Asier Izaguirre combined for eight hits, six runs and six RBI. Alberto Magallon (W 6-5) gave up four hits and two runs in six innings for the win. Diego Corvalan (L 1-6) surrendered eight runs on eleven hits in five innings.

The FC Barcelona extended its winning streak in the Spanish Division de Honor to a European best 20 games with a sweep in Pamplona. In game one they scored seven runs in the first three innings in a 13-1 rout over CD. Jesus Golindano (3-6, 3 runs, 3 RBI) and Oscar Angulo (2 RBI) hit homeruns. Miguel Mora and Sergio Roman had two RBI each. Delio Miguel Martinez (W 8-0) allowed just five hits, a run and two bb in six innings.

On Sunday the offense continued to score, but the pitching of Barca was nearly unhittable. Oscar Jimenez (W 7-0) started and issued just a leadoff single in the first and three walks in five scoreless innings. Jose Carreras closed out the one-hitter. Oscar Angulo hit a grand slam in the first and drove in five overall. Jesus Golindano and Miguel Mora had a combined four RBI. Juan Redin (L 2-9) was charged with twelve hits, twelve runs (10 ER) and four bb in 5 1/3 innings.
CB Sant Boi – Baseball Navarra 0-1, 6-1

CB Sant Boi’s run for the Spanish championship hit a little speed bump on Saturday, when they lost 0-1 at home against Juan Jose Lopez (W 8-4) and Baseball Navarra. The southpaw gave up just three hits and five walks in nine scoreless innings, while striking out four and inducing twelve groundouts. Larry Infante scored the lone run in the game on a RBI single by Eduardo Sanchez in the sixth. Junior Guerra (L 7-1) allowed three hits, a run and four bb in six innings, striking out nine.

Navarra again took the lead in the second game, but Sant Boi answered right away, getting ahead with two runs in the bottom of the first. Four runs in the seventh highlighted by a three-run double by William Domero secured a 6-1 win and the split. Ruben Fente (W 2-0) gave up seven hits, a run and a walk in seven innings. He struck out nine. Diego Armando Perez (L 0-2) allowed seven hits, two unearned runs and a bb in four innings.
Astros Valencia – Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz 1-12, 0-11

The Tenerife Marlins crushed the Astros Valencia in both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday. In game one the reigning champion handed out twelve runs on 21 hits in a 12-1 rout. Nguyen Boulet, Richard Montiel and Cristian Remedios went deep. Franklin Tavarez went 5-for-6 with a double, two runs and a RBI. Antonio Noguera (W 1-1) struck out nine in six innings, allowing five hits, a run and three bb. Usual game-one starter Leslie Nacar closed it out with three scoreless frames. John Scott Dunn (L 6-7) was charged with 13 hits, seven runs (4 ER) and two bb in five innings.

Ivan Granados (W 9-2) struck out 13 batters in eight scoreless innings to lead Puerto Cruz to an 11-0 shutout in game two of the twin bill in Valencia. He issued just three hits and a pair of walks. Lesther Galvan highlighted the offense going 5-for-6 with a homerun, a double, two runs and two RBI. Victor Lopez and Nestor Perez had three hits each. Jordi Valles (L 4-6) conceded eleven hits and six runs (2 ER) in five innings.
The two-game series between El Llano and CB Viladecans got postponed.
