It looked like as DOOR Neptunus would tie the series against Corendon Kinheim on Sunday afternoon in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. But Bryan Engelhardt hit a one-out three-run walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth to lead the club from Haarlem to a 3-1 victory, keeping the undefeated streak alive. Neptunus led since the fifth inning, when Eugene Kingsale singled, advanced to second on a balk and scored on an error.

Otherwise pitching was the story of the game. Duko Jansen (KIN) issued just this unearned run on six hits and a walk in seven innings. Patrick Beljaards (W) picked up the win with two 1-2-3 innings of relief. Kevin Heijstek (L) pitched a gem for eight innings, but became hittable in the bottom of the ninth, allowing three consecutive hits for the loss. He had given up just three hits in the first eight frames.

L&D Amsterdam – ADO 13-3 (7)

UVV handed out 15 hits and took advantage of seven errors by Sparta/Feyenoord to prevail 7-5 for their second win in as many days. The promoted club from Utrecht decided the outcome in the top of the eighth, when Rutger Veugelers, Fausto Alvarez and Jurrien Overman scored three runs on four hits and two errors. Rotterdam had the better start into the game with four runs in the opening period. But UVV came back and tied the contest in the top of the fifth. However Sparta/Feyenoord regained the lead in the bottom of the frame. Ramira Balentina and Rudney Balentien combined for four RBI for Rotterdam. Alvarez and Jeroen Hermans had two RBI apiece for UVV. Jurjen van Zijl (W) issued eight hits, five runs (4 ER) and two bb in seven innings.
