Roman Carrasco (W 4-3) went the distance and allowed just a pair of singles and a walk in seven scoreless innings to lead Halcones to a 10-0 shutout over El Llano. He struck out ten. He also drove in three. His battery mate Jose Morales went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Adrian Borges (L 0-4) gave up ten hits, nine runs (6 ER) and three bb in five innings.

In the second game Vigo nearly blew a 7-2 lead before prevailing 7-6 after El Llano scored four runs in the last two frames. Elvis Polanco and Enzo Contreras had three hits each for the club from Gijon. Ronald Caracas picked up three hits and three RBI for Halcones. Diego Corvalan (W 1-5) conceded six hits, two runs and three bb in 5 2/3 innings. Carlos Lopez (L 1-4) issued twelve hits, seven runs (5 ER) and four bb in eight innings.
CB Sant Boi – CB Viladecans 7-0, 3-2

Jose Guanchez (W 6-0) and Junior Guerra combined to throw a two-hit shutout to lead Sant Boi to a 7-0 win over Viladecans. Guanchez allowed just a fourth-inning single and three walks in seven innings. He struck out ten. Guerra struck out five of the eight batters he faced. Daniel Martinez and Marc Carrillo scored two runs apiece. Fabian Marquez (L 0-8) conceded six hits, four runs (3 ER) and five bb in seven innings.

Sant Boi needed to overcome an early 0-2 deficit in game two and won it 3-2 on a pair of errors in the bottom of the seventh. Miguel Catalan had driven in both Viladecans runs in the top of the first with a double. Pedro Luis Peraza (BOI) lasted just two innings on the mound, allowing five hits, two runs and a walk. Ruben Fente (W 1-0) picked up the win with five brilliant one-hit, one-walk innings of relief. Pol Llopis (L 5-6) allowed seven hits, three runs (1 ER) and two bb in eight innings.
Astros Valencia – FC Barcelona 8-14, 2-7

The FC Barcelona had to score seven runs in the top of the ninth to edge out a 14-8 win in Valencia in game one of their doubleheader against the Astros. Angel Aguado highlighted the rally with a grand slam. It was the second grand slam for Barcelona after Orlando Diaz (5 RBI) hit one in the seventh. Valencia had taken an 8-7 lead in the bottom of the eighth on a RBI double by Kevin Malone and a RBI single by Edward Alexander. Delio Miguel Martinez (FCB) gave up eight hits, six runs (4 ER) and five bb in 6 2/3 innings. John Scott Dunn (AST) surrendered nine hits, seven runs (6 ER) and two walks in seven innings. He struck out eight. Oscar Gimenez (W 5-0) got the win, Alexander (L 0-1) the loss.

Barcelona overcame a 0-2 deficit to win 7-2 against the Astros in game two of the twin bill. They got the lead in the sixth before Oscar Angulo and Rafael Llames finished the job with a two-run homerun in the seventh and a two-run single in the ninth. Jose Liste went deep for Valencia. Pedro Pablo Belmonte (W 7-1) issued ten hits, two runs and a walk in nine innings. Luis Galicia (L 1-1) allowed two hits, three runs and five bb in five-plus innings.
Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz – Baseball Navarra 3-0, 11-1 (7)

Leslie Nacar (W 8-4) issued just three hits and a walk in nine scoreless innings to lead the Tenerife Marlins to a 3-0 shutout over Navarra in game one of their doubleheader. He struck out 13. Nestor Perez hit a solo homerun in the seventh. Nguyen Boulet doubled twice and scored a run. Juan Jose Lopez (L 7-4) gave up five hits, three runs (2 ER) and four bb in eight innings.

The Marlins completed the sweep with an 11-1 win in seven innings in game two. Ivan Granados (W 9-2) struck out nine in five perfect innings. He got replaced by Audie Nunez who lost the perfect game bid on a leadoff walk in the sixth. In the seventh Antonio Noguera allowed a leadoff homerun to Larry Infante denying the no-no. Franklin Tavarez homered for Puerto Cruz and drove in four. Nguyen Boulet and Javier Flores had two RBI each. Juan Miguel Marte (L 3-1) issued four hits, six runs and four bb in three-plus innings.
