Cariparma tied the series against UGF Bologna with a 5-3 win on Friday night in the Italian Baseball League. After Parma took a 4-0 lead after four innings, Fortitudo tried to come back and cut the deficit to a run in the top of the sixth, but an insurance run in the bottom of the frame secured the victory for the host. Stefano De Simoni and Riccardo Bertagnon scored twice. Marco Grifantini (W) issued three hits, three unearned runs and four bb in 5 2/3 innings. Cody Cillo (L) allowed nine hits, four runs and two walks in five frames.

T&A San Marino needed RBI singles by Max De Biase and Ardley Jansen in the top of the ninth to overcome a 1-2-deficit against Montepaschi Grosseto. The Titans can sweep the series with a win on Saturday. The Orioles had taken the lead on a RBI double by Luca Bischeri and a RBI single by Leonardo Mazzanti. Tiago Da Silva (W) gave up six hits, two runs and a walk in eight innings. Chris Cooper (GRO) conceded five hits and a run in seven innings. Yovany D’Amico (L) took the loss.

Danesi Nettuno scored five runs in the first three innings en route to a 9-3 win over De Angelis Godo. Three players of the home team scored twice. Paolino Ambrosino drove in two. Gary Burnham Jr. hit a homerun for the Knights. Carlos Pezzullo (W) received the win after pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. Massimiliano Masin began for Nettuno. Matteo Galeotti (L) surrendered eight hits, five runs and a walk in 2 2/3 innings.

Telemarket Rimini crushed the Catania Warriors 10-1 for the second win in the three-game series. Five runs in the bottom of the eighth blew things wide open for the Pirates. Jack Santora scored three times. Daniel Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez (W) struck out eleven batters in six innings, allowing just two hits, a run and three bb. Franklyn Torres (L) conceded eleven hits, five runs and a walk in seven innings.
