Fabio Betto (W) pitched eight strong innings to lead Unipol Bologna to a 3-0 shutout on Friday night against T&A San Marino. He allowed just five hits and a walk. Massimiliano Sartori scored two of the three runs for Fortitudo. Ivan Granados (L) was charged with six hits, three runs and a walk in seven innings.

Danesi Nettuno overcame a three-run deficit to beat Montepaschi Grosseto 6-4. Four runs in the bottom of the seventh decided the outcome. Paolino Ambrosino and Giuseppe Mazzanti set the highlights during the rally with a two-run double and a two-run homer. Andrea Sgnaolin went deep for Grosseto. Leonardo Mazzanti cleared the bases with a double in the first. Jose Estebin Cruz (W) got the win in relief, Yovany D’Amico (L) the loss.

Mihai Burlea (W) struck out nine batters in six innings to lead Cariparma Parma to a 5-1 win over the North East Knights. He allowed one run on five hits. Marco Grifantini closed it out with no-hit relief. Salomon Marinez (L) gave up four hits, two runs (1 ER) and two bb in five innings.
Novara United – Telemarket Rimini 4-9

After the afternoon game between Rimini and Novara got rained out, Telemarket Rimini prevailed 9-4 in the night cap, taking advantage of eight errors by the United defense. Jack Santora scored three times for the guests. Brian Nelson drove in two. Franklin Tavarez (3 RBI) and Robert Perez went deep for Novara. Sandy Patrone (W) allowed one run on five hits in six innings. He struck out seven. Antonio Noguera (L) struck out seven in six innings as well, but also issued six hits, four runs (1 ER) and a walk.
