William Suarez closed it out. Taber Lee and Mattia Reginato plated the two lone runs in the third with a RBI single and a sac fly. Rafael Garcia took the loss after eight innings, seven hits, two unearned runs and a walk. He punched out nine.

Tiago Da Silva struck out ten batters in eight scoreless innings to lead SAN MARINO to an 8-0 shutout against PARMA. He issued just five hits and a walk. William Lucena completed the five-hitter with a perfect ninth. After Carlos Duran put T&A up in front with a solo homerun in the opening frame, both teams exchanged zeros on the board until a six-run rally by last year’s champion in the eighth. Dean Rovinelli hit a three-run homerun. Marco Grifantini’s only mistake in six solid innings was the solo shot by Duran in the first. He gave up five hits, a run and two bb, while striking out eight.
