The Therwil Flyers were able to overcome two deficits this past Saturday against the Embrach Mustangs. Since the first weekend of the Semi-Finals, the Flyers have been facing elimination in the last three games of the best-of-five series.

Roger Salvodelli kept the Flyers offense in check for most of the game, by keeping the hitters off balance and scattered one run and seven hits in six innings. Meanwhile, the Mustangs were able record a few clutch hits against Lukas Croton with runners in scoring position to score five runs in the sixth inning, jumping out to a 5-1 lead. That lead was erased when the Flyers were able to score five runs in the seventhinning and four runs in the eighth, pushing the lead to 10- 5. The game ended 10-6, as the Mustangs were able to score one run off of Stefan Koller.

Ty Eriksen once again led the flyers by going 4-for-5. Takanobu Oshima, Reto Siegel, and Daniel Eichenberger all collected two hits in Saturday’s contest.

This weekend the Flyers will face the Bern Cardinals to begin the Championship Series. Game times are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. On Saturday the game will be played in Bern, while the game on Sunday will be played in Therwil.
