Rain stops continuation of Extraleague

The Czech Baseball Extraleague continued after a longer break, after the national team attended two important tournaments – the European Championship Qualifier and the World University Baseball Championship. The Extraleague started last Wednesday into the second half of the season with a night game between MZLU Express Brno and AVG Draci Brno. Draci didn’t disappoint and shut out their rivals 5-0. Express started with Jelinek on the mound, who was replaced by Kubat. Draci had five pitchers in a rotation and started with Minarik, who was replaced by Toufar, Prochazka, Schneider and Vesely.

Unfortunately the complete Saturday’s round was postponed due to heavy rain which didn’t allow the start of all four doubleheaders played in Brno, Blansko and Prague. Sunday’s game between AVG Draci Brno and Black Hill Blansko was cancelled too, because the modern baseball field was not ready after the rain falls from a day before.
