KNTU Elizavetgrad – MKS Stal B&S Kutno 8-2
KNTU won the morning game in Solingen by a score of 8-2 over MKS Stal Kutno. Five runs in the second decided the outcome early. Polyakov, Syvrynchuk and Symchyna combined for seven RBI. Maksym Lisnitsky (W) walked seven, but also allowed just two unearned runs on three hits in six innings. Jakub Kolasinski (L) was charged with his second loss this week.
Brest Zubrs – MKS Stal B&S Kutno 7-6
MKS Stal B&S Kutno suffered its second defeat a few hours later, losing 6-7 to Brest Zubrs. Four runs in the bottom of the seventh helped Brest to complete a comeback. They had erased a 0-6 deficit en route to the win. Kasheuski tripled and drove in four for Zubrs. Rybski went 4-for-5 with two RBI for Kutno.
Solingen Alligators – KNTU Elizavetgrad 10-0 (8)
The Solingen Alligators shut out KNTU 10-0 in the afternoon game. Phil Ortez led the way, going 5-for-5 with two RBI. Julian Steinberg, Chris Beck and Moritz Buttgereit scored twice. JD Sholten (W) dominated on the mound, allowing just one hit and a walk in eight scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
Kaunas Lituanica – Therwil Flyers 5-3
The Therwil Flyers suffered their second loss in two days on Thursday, as Kaunas Lituanica stunned the Swiss vice champion with a 5-3 win in the late afternoon/early evening game. Kaunas took a quick 5-0 lead through three innings and fought off a late rally by the Flyers to seal the victory. Jacyna scored twice. Hide Oshima drove in two for Therwil. Marijus Dargis (W) struck out eleven in a complete game win. Chris Blackbee (L) took his second loss in as many days.
