Qualifier European Championships Cadets underway

The future of European Baseball is currently playing in Antalya, Turkey this week. The Qualifier for the European Championships at the Cadets level got underway on Monday. Five teams are trying to clinch a spot in the next edition (not this season) of the European Championships. They are playing a round robin format with the two top teams advancing into the finals on Saturday June 28.

Great Britain has won their first two games in commanding fashion, scoring 21 runs on Monday against Turkey and 31 on Tuesday against Bulgaria. In addition the Ukraine defeated Bulgaria 9-4 and Romania lost 7-8 to the hosts in the afternoon game today. You can follow the tournament on the competition website of the Confederation of European Baseball.

Monday June 23:
Ukraine – Bulgaria 9-4 box score
Great Britain – Turkey 21-10 (5) box score

Tuesday June 24:
Bulgaria – Great Britain 1-31 (5) box score
Romania – Turkey 7-8 box score
