Jakub Janda did an interview with Georg Bull to talk about the German Cadets National Team and its preparations for the European Championships this summer. Bull is also the head coach of the German Baseball-Bundesliga club Mannheim Tornados.
Jakub Janda: Dear sir, how has your team been preparing for the 2010 European Cadet Championship? What kind of preparation have you gone through in last two years?
Georg Bull: We´ve been working out indoors in January and then travelled to the Dominican Republic over the Easter break (15 days).
JJ: How does you roster look like? How many players do you expect from the national league and do you have any players playing abroad? How many players of your tem play in the first league?
GB: Since the players are all 15 years old or younger there is obviously nobody playing in men´s competition
JJ: Do you scout your opponents? What do you expect of the teams in your pool?
GB: During the tournament we will scout our opponents. We´re in a very tough group since both Italy and the Netherlands are in our group as well as Belgium who will also be strong.
JJ: What are your country’s goals for the ECH? What would you consider a success?
GB: A great success would be to advance to the semifinals which would mean that we are going to win two games in our group. Other than that we would have to try and not get relegated.
JJ: Do you know anything about Czech national team? Do you have any experience with them?
GB: The Czech cadet national team is always strong. They have a very good manager are therefore well managed and we’ve played exciting games in the past.
JJ: Thank you for your time.
Mister-Baseball thanks Jakub Janda and Georg Bull for the Q&A.
