Posted on February 4, 2010February 4, 2010 by philipp

Jair Jurrjens: MiLB.com, the official website of Minor League Baseball, asked Josh Jackson to write a profile on Jair Jurrjens, starting pitcher of the Atlanta Braves. A few weeks back Jurrjens recapped the 2009 season and looked forward to the new year in an article on MLB.com. The right-hander also will take part in a pitcher’s mini camp at Turner Field in Atlanta, which started a few days ago.

Hainley Statia: The Los Angeles Angels official announced the 27 Spring Training invitees, which are not on the 40-man roster. One of the players is infielder Hainley Statia. Position players will report on February 22 to training camp. It is not his first appearance in Spring Training for the 24-year-old. Since 2005 he has played in 27 exhibition games.
