The 2012 season in the Belgian First Division will open its gates this weekend. Due to European Championship a Belgian Series won’t determine the champion, as the top ranked team after regular season and round-robin playoffs will lift the trophy. Defending champion Hoboken Pioneers is starting into this year’s campaign with a matchup against the promoted Antwerp Eagles. Vice champion Namur Angels has to take on the Borgerhout Squirrels. The Royal Greys will play against the Deurne Spartans.
The Brasschaat Braves, which face the Mortsel Stars on game day one, try to increase attention at season’s start. They have planned a big happening. While the Braves-Stars matchup is scheduled for 3.30pm in the afternoon, the day in Brasschaat starts at 10am with a U21 game between the Braves and the Deurne Spartans. Other side events are planned to keep people in attendance entertained throughout the day. Check out the flyer for more information.
