Preview: Baseball Navarra hosts Tenerife Marlins in Division de Honor

Posted on March 11, 2011March 11, 2011 by philipp

In a rematch of last summer’s Copa del Rey finals Baseball Navarra hosts the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz this weekend in the Spanish Division de Honor. Navarra started 1-3 into the new season and lost twice in the ninth inning to CB Sant Boi last weekend. The Marlins are 4-0 thanks to a sweep in Viladecans and the no-show of the Sevilla Red Sox. Juan Jose Lopez and Andres Casado are expected as starting pitchers for Navarra, Leslie Nacar and Yoel Hernandez for the Marlins.

In other matchups the FC Barcelona takes on CD Pamplona, the Astros Valencia will face Halcones de Vigo, San Inazio Bilbao plays against CB Sant Boi and CB Viladecans hosts the Sevilla Red Sox in a duel of winless teams. You can follow the matchup between Bilbao and Sant Boi via live play by play on the RFEBS competition website. It is also going to be the first games at the refurbished new ballpark in Bilbao.
