Fresh off an exciting Baseball Week in Haarlem, three of national teams went east to contest another of the continent’s best-loved baseball traditions, the Prague Baseball Week. Only hours after a heart-breaking loss in the championship game of the Haarlem Honkbal Week, the Netherlands matched up with Taiwan for the third time this week and, this time, Taiwan took revenge. Meanwhile, Czech Republic took on World Baseball Classic Qualifier rivals Germany, with a Šimon Blažek grand slam helping to overcome a 4-3 deficit in the seventh. In a separate pool, Belgium took on Slovakia and Croatia faced Switzerland.
