The Prague Baseball Week 2019 continued on Wednesday with four games. In Group A Russia beat John Hopkins University 4-2. Denis Leonov struck out nine in just 4 2/3 innings. Viacheslav Vasilev scored two of the four runs. Russia rallied for three in the last three innings to earn the victory. In the evening the Czech U23 National Team defeated Belarus 12-6. Martin Muzik scored four runs. Radim Novotny homered for the Czech Republic, Ivan Kurlenia for Belarus.
In Group B the Future Stars prevailed 8-4 over the Stuttgart Reds. Four runs in the third gave the Stars the lead. Oliver van der Wijst, who later also won the Home Run Derby, went deep. Also the 3n2 International Stars celebrated a win, downing Poland 14-3. Eight runs in the sixth blew the score wide open. Daniel Jackson had three RBI. Ben Andrews and Kenjiro Hatakeyama scored three runs apiece.
