Poland Accepting Applications for National Team Head Coaching Vacancies

Posted on January 17, 2022January 17, 2022 by MrBB

The Polish Baseball and Softball Association (PBSA) is accepting applications for both its baseball and softball national team head coaching vacancies, with applications due no later than January 24th.

The changes for the national baseball team come after it finished at the bottom of the Utena qualifier for the 2021 European championship. Poland scored just six runs while allowing 24 on its way to an 0-3 finish on Lithuanian soil.

Game 1 of the tournament saw it shutout by eventual group winners Greece, while Game Two saw Poland lose 11-3 to the favored Lithuanian hosts (highlights above). A 6-3 defeat to Romania on the final day wrapped up the disappointing tournament for Team Poland.

The application form, along with more information about the vacancies, can be found at the PBSA’s home page.
