Grosseto 9, Bologna 3
Grosseto scored five runs in the ninth inning to break open a close game and take Game 1, 9-3. Ace hurler Lincoln MIKKELSEN pitched eight strong innings allowing two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. Davide DALLOSPEDALE, Luca BISCHERI, Jairo RAMOS and Raul MARVAL each had two hits for Grosseto.

Bologna 4, Grosseto 2
Fabio BETTO scattered seven hits over seven innings and Christopher GEORGE threw two scoreless innings in relief as Bologna claimed a 4-2 win over Grosseto in Game 2 to knot the series at a game apiece. Lino CONNELL was 2-for-4 and Claudio LIVERZIANI scored a pair of runs to lead Bologna.

Grosseto 8, Bologna 1
Riccardo DE SANTIS limited Bologna to five hits and one run over eight innings and Jairo RAMOS went 3-for-4 with a double, homer, and three RBI’s as Grosseto cruised to an easy win in Game 3. Gino LOLLIO added a pair of hits and two RBI’s for Grosseto while Claudio LIVERZIANI had three hits for Bologna.

Grosseto 13, Bologna 2

Lincoln MIKKELSEN continued his mastery over Bologna in Game 4 allowing just two runs in seven innings as Grosseto overcame an early 2-0 deficit en route to the blowout win and a commanding 3-1 series lead. Jairo RAMOS hit his second home run of the playoffs and drove in five runs while Jorge NUNEZ collected four hits and scored two twice for Grosseto.

Grosseto 4, Bologna 3
Junior OBERTO won his first game of the post-season and Emiliano GINANNESCHI pitched two perfect innings of relief as Grosseto advanced to the Italian Baseball League Finals with their third straight win against Bologna. Jorge NUNEZ drove in a pair of runs and Luca BISCHERI scored a run and added an RBI for Grosseto.
