The Sydney Blue Sox clinched the number one seed with a 24-15 record and will face the second-ranked Perth Heat (24-16) in round one, hoping to advance directly to the championship series. In the other matchup the Adelaide Bite will host the Melbourne Aces. The winner of this series is facing the loser of Sydney vs. Perth. For the Canberra Cavalry and the Brisbane Bandits the season is over. The postseason starts on Thursday.
