As usually around this time of the year, the Dutch clubs announce their offseason roster changes, as the transfer period (within the Netherlands) closes on October 31st. Marco Stoovelaar posted the names for ADO on his website on Wednesday.
The club from The Hague, which finished in seventh place this year with ten wins in 42 games, welcomes nine new players, while five will leave. New on the roster will be pitchers Tjibbe van Dijk, Jurandy Girigori, catcher Stefan Venema, infielders Allan Milliard, Berti Richardson, Frans Richardson, Jeroen Stentler and outfielders Anthony Vrolijk and Patrick Wabijn. Besides southpaw Girigori, who comes from RCH MEDIA MONKS, all played in a Dutch league below the elite league level, though all nine have played in the Hoofdklasse before.
Leaving the team are going to be pitchers Jeoffrey de Groot, Aeden McQueary-Ennis, catcher Niels Weis and infielders Shurty Tremus and Rene Verbrugge. The most notable loss is McQueary-Ennis. The British national team player batted .324 with 18 RBI in 32 games and worked 21 games as a reliever, striking out 38 batters in 49 1/3 innings. He will stay in the Hoofdklasse, as he joins league rival HCAW MR. COCKER.
