The Pittsburgh Pirates have invited KNBSB Talentcoach Martijn Nijhoff to Pirate City in Bradenton, Florida to speak about training methods, which have been developed by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation (KNBSB). Instruction Coordinator David Turgeon, who also went to Europe for baseball clinics last winter, initiated that Pirates coaches learn about motor learning inspired baseball practice. During his stay with the MLB organization, Nijhoff also will meet with Assistant General Manager Kyle Stark and Director of Minor League Operations Larry Broadway.
