The qualifier for the baseball tournament at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and the next Baseball World Cup will start on Friday in Carolina, Mayaguez and Ponce, Puerto Rico. After the withdrawal of Mexico, twelve teams will battle in two pools for the positions. The tourney which features some of the best prospects in the game like Mike Moustakas, current International baseball greats like Alfredo Despaigne and former Major League stars like Carlos Delgado will last until October 13.

Pool A:

  • Aruba
  • Colombia
  • Dominican Republic
  • Panama
  • Puerto Rico
  • USA

Pool B:

  • Argentina
  • Canada
  • Cuba
  • Netherlands Antilles
  • Nicaragua
  • Venezuela

Schedule Day 1, October 1:

  • 1pm Argentina – Nicaragua
  • 7.30pm Colombia – Dominican Republic
  • 7.30pm Puerto Rico – Aruba
  • 7.30pm Cuba – Venezuela
