New IBL club Tommasin Padova has named its second foreign pitcher for the 2014 season. Ronald Uviedo joins Nibaldo Acosta at the top of the staff. The 27-year-old Venezuelan right-hander looks back at nine seasons of professional baseball in the United States, playing as high as Triple-A for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto Blue Jays organizations after starting his career with the Seattle Mariners. In 2013 he played on the independent league circuit. Overall he has accumulated a career ERA of 3.50 in 286 pro games. This winter he played for the Leones de Caracas in the Venezuelan Winter League.
