The Solingen Alligators unintentionally play a small role in an article in Baseball America from November 15. Apparently 26-year-old Breland Brown tried to scam his way into the Australian Baseball League. Check out the article “Minor Leaguer tries to pull off Aussie scam” on www.baseballamerica.com. Back in the winter of 2008, Brown had agreed to play for the Alligators. But just one week later Solingen terminated the contract, as the outfielder made additional demands.
