Swedish players Oscar Carlstedt and Robin Lausen, who are members of the Leksand Baseball Academy, traveled to Africa as part of a school project from September 24 to October 7 to teach some Baseball. According to the report on the official website of the Swedish Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF) the two attend a school in Leksand, which cooperates with the Soroti Secondary School in Uganda.
The SBSF sponsored a MLB Play Ball! package of MLB International with gloves, bats and other material to donate to the school in Uganda. Carlstedt and Lausen held practice sessions every day in the afternoon with up to 30 students (ages of 13 to 19) in the end. A game in front of perhaps 2,000 visitors concluded the week full of Baseball. Check out the pictures at www.baseball-softball.se.
