Already on Friday the PHILLIES defeated the ORKAS 7-3 in the Liga Paralela. The Major League affiliate got the better start, as it took a 3-0 lead through six innings. The ALB rallied to cut the lead to a run in the top of the seventh. But PHILADELPHIA countered with four insurance runs in the bottom of the frame to decide the outcome definitely.
Daniel Bittar, who had a RBI triple, Bryon Bell (3-4) and Israel Diaz drove in the runs for the ORKAS. Emilio Linarez had two hits and a run. Zair Koeiman came in as a pinch runner and scored. Sytse Visbsen and Ricky Thomas split time at first base.
Yulman Ribeiro (L 0-2) started and allowed nine hits, three runs (1 ER) and a walk in five-plus innings. He struck out four. Shane Gnade had a relief appearance and came in with a runner on base, which later scored. He gave up one unearned run on three hits in one inning. His ERA now stands at 7.50.
The ORKAS were supposed to play LEONES on Saturday (score not known at the moment) and were off on Sunday.
