The ORKAS lost for the third straight game on Tuesday, when the MAGALLANES beat them 6-1. Pitchers Deolis Guerra, Juan Colmenarez (W 1-1) and Pedro Herrera held the European offense to four hits during the nine innings. Cesar Cordido hit a homerun and drove in three.

Jose Aponte scored the lone run for the ALB on a RBI by Bryon Bell. Gabriel Montero had two hits, Emilio Linarez doubled and Kevin Gutierrez singled for the ORKAS. Carlos Farias (L 1-1) started and took the loss after allowing two hits, four runs (3 ER) and four walks in four-plus innings, striking out one. Two inherited runs scored against reliever Nelson Santander, who pitched two innings. Steven van Groningen closed it out, conceding two hits, an unearned run and a base on balls.

The ORKAS now sit in fourth place of the Liga Paralela standings with a 13-9 record. They are 4,5 games behind leader CARIBES. They are off on Wednesday.
