The international tournament Open de Rouen continued on Friday with day number three. The German club Gauting Indians, which bolstered its roster with numerous other strong Americans from the Baseball-Bundesliga (Chris Beck, Matt Pali, Kenny Camp, Eddie Aucoin, Matt Vance,…) and the United States (Andy and Mickey Kropf,…), marched through the preliminary round with ease, out-scoring its opponents 31-9, winning all three games against the Rouen Huskies (11-4), the French Juniors (8-5) and Quebec (12-0).
They now await their opponent for the semi-finals, which will be played on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The first round for the other teams continues until Saturday afternoon. In the lone matchup without participation of the club from Munich, France shut out Belgium 10-0 in five innings. The French national team had scored seven runs in the second to blow the game wide open early. Stadeo.tv is on hand and is doing little clips, which you can see in their video on demand section.
