Just a couple of days after presenting new manager Mike Romano, Novara United celebrates another coup. The Italian Baseball League club has signed Venezuelan outfielder Rodney Medina. He is coming from league rival Cariparma Parma. The 30-year-old batted .377/.435/.583 with five homeruns, three triples, ten doubles, 30 runs and 28 RBI in 41 games for the champion from 2010. During the winter he had joined the Aguilas del Zuila in the Venezuela Winter League, batting .207/.246/.224 in 26 games.
