The North East Knights, the franchise of the baseball clubs in Godo and Verona, announced on Tuesday that they will remain in the Italian Baseball League for the 2011 season. In the past couple of weeks rumors emerged that they wouldn’t be able to do it due to financial difficulties. Although they will stay in the head class in Italian baseball, they will have to work with a reduced budget and therefore will focus on the development of young players. The IBL1 team will be led by head coach Daniele Fuzzi, a former player and bench coach of De Angelis Godo. Further details will be announced in the next couple of weeks according to the press release.
