The De Angelis Godo Knights have confirmed their first player for the 2013 season. The 43-year-old veteran Michele Gerali will return for a second straight season with the Knights. The outfielder came from Parma to Godo last winter. He also played for the team during the 2007 season. He is the brother of former Parma manager Gilberto Gerali, who will serve as bench coach for the Italian national team at the 2013 World Baseball Classic in March. Michele Gerali, who was mainly used as a backup outfielder in Parma, played regularly for the Knights, batting .205/.282/.226 with three doubles, 13 runs and 14 RBI in 42 games last year.
