Nick Lockwood is a former professional baseball player who attended Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida. A high school All-American, Nick was selected in the 9th round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins. Lockwood played for four seasons in the Minnesota Twins organization at various levels. While playing, Nick spent his off-seasons coaching with Baseball Factory and training youth players.

His first stint with Baseball Ireland came in March 2018 when Lockwood ran youth and adult clinics in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and Clones, Co. Monaghan for players and coaches alike.

“We are excited and fortunate to have Nick as part of our coaching staff”, said Ireland Manager Sean Mitchell. “Coach Lockwood is a talented young coach who will add significant value to our players and coaching staff as we prepare for upcoming European Championship Qualifiers here in Ashbourne, Ireland.”

Ireland will host the European Championship Qualifiers in Ashbourne, County Meath from the 23rd-28th of July.
