New head coach for Hornets

Posted on March 6, 2008 by philipp

The Saarlouis Hornets have signed a new head coach. The 36-year-old Frederick BEITLER is looking back at 19 seasons in American and Canadian Leagues. He is a coach since eleven years and worked as an assistant coach at the St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. He also was an assistant with the Windsor Athletics last summer, coaching college and professional players.

In 2007 the Hornets started strong, but missed the playoffs of the Baseball-Bundesliga due to a late-season slump. They are open their preseason schedule with a doubleheader against the Cologne Cardinals on Sunday March 9.
