New Coaches for Paderborn Untouchables

Posted on November 15, 2007November 17, 2007 by philipp

The German Bundesliga team Paderborn Untouchables is getting a new head and bench coach for 2008. The club announced on Tuesday that Stefan FECHTIG is succeeding Martin HELMIG, who stepped down after a disappointing season. FECHTIG is a former member of the national team and won eight German championships with Paderborn between 1998 and 2006.

He is going to be assisted by Octavio MEDINA. He was born in Mexico-City, raised in Los Angeles and played Independent League ball in the United States. He began his playing career for the Untouchables in 1998 and won eight championships as well. He will be responsible for the infielder and the hitting performance of the squad.

The new head coach is Stefan “Red” Fechtig (not Daniel Fechtig as mentioned above).
