Netherlands wins Cadets Title

It was over-shadowed by the European Senior Championship in Germany, but in Eindhoven and Nykoeping the Cadets also played their European Championship. The Netherlands won the tournament in Eindhoven thanks to a 14-4 rout over the Czech Republic in the final. Italy and Bulgaria finished in third and fourth.

  • Best Pitcher: Tomas Bocek (CZE)
  • MVP: Tim Halderman (NED)

The Qualifier in Nykoeping, Sweden was won by the Swedish team. Lithuania also had reached the best-of-three finals and had led 1-0 after winning the preliminary round game. But Sweden tied the series with a 12-2 win. But Lithuania had to forfeit the decisive game three, as they had to get the ferry at 5pm, though this wouldn’t be possible with a game start at 3pm.
