The Netherlands continued their strong showing in training camp for the 2013 World Baseball Classic on Tuesday. In Taichung they defeated an Industrial League All-Star selection 6-0. Kalian Sams and Andruw Jones hit home runs in the contest at Intercontinental Stadium. Pitchers Rob Cordemans, Tom Stuifbergen, David Bergman, Mark Pawelek and Loek van Mil combined to allow just six hits in nine scoreless innings. For the first time manager Hensley Meulens was able to choose from his complete roster as the players from Major League Spring Training camp arrived as well. On Thursday the Dutch team will play another exhibition game before opening the WBC with a game against Korea on Saturday.
