Neptunus president Geoffrey Kohl (50) decided on Monday to step down due to heavy work load. The former left handed pitcher in Hoofdklasse and in Netherlands national team appeared in Dutch baseball news items last week, because his father Huub Kohl died at the age of 73 after a long desease. Geoffrey Kohl was president since September 2015, but his frequent business traveling across the world does not allow him to continue his baseball club presidency any longer. For time being Frans van Aalen will take over club president’s duties, according to this evening press release by Neptunus media representative Michel Streur. The club’s website specifies that Kohl is to remain in the board as a general member. Curacao Neptunus this season will defend their European and national club championship titles.
