Posted on September 4, 2008September 4, 2008 by philipp

The season in British Baseball is moving towards the end. Last weekend the regular season was completed with two more make-up doubleheaders. In the north the MENWITH HILL PATRIOTS gained some confidence for the championship weekend with two lopsided wins against the SHEFFIELD BLADERUNNERS. In the south, BRACKNELL and RICHMOND each won a game by scoring 14 runs.

The Final Four in the National Baseball League is scheduled for the upcoming weekend at the Roundshaw Playing Fields in Croydon. The 2007 champion LONDON METS faces MENWITH in semi-final one. The MANCHESTER EAGLES and the FLAMES are in the second semi-final. The first of the best-of-three final series is also supposed to be played after the completion of the semi-finals. Last year the METS swept the final series 2-0, stunning the regular season dominator CROYDON PIRATES.
