MZLU Express once again upsets AVG Draci, takes 2-1 lead

Posted on September 26, 2008September 26, 2008 by philipp

Is the dynasty of DRACI BRNO seeing a stop sign after the semi-finals in the 2008 campaign? Like in game one they couldn’t find a way to come through against MZLU EXPRESS starter Leos Kubat and lost 1-4. They now face a 1-2-deficit in the series and need to win both games this weekend to avoid elimination. EXPRESS scored all four runs in the second on an error. DRACI only put one run on the board in the fourth, but failed to convert their other opportunities. Kubat pitched eight innings for his second win in the series. He could be available in a decisive game five on Sunday. Marian Gajdos closed it out with a scoreless ninth to pick up the save. Radek Prochaczka started for AVG DRACI and lasted five-plus innings before being replaced by Jiri Marek and Martin Schneider.

The second semi-final series between TECHNIKA BRNO and ARROWS OSTRAVA is already going the distance with game five scheduled for 17:00 CET in Ostrava on Saturday.
