The Munich-Haar Disciples have announced their foreign starting pitcher for the 2017 season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. The 26-year-old left-handed American Ryan Bollinger is joining the club. He is succeeding Justin Erasmus, who had joined Munich-Haar midway through last year’s campaign. Bollinger is a former first baseman, who was converted to pitching in the beginning of his professional career. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies and also played in the Chicago White Sox organization. After his release he played independent league ball and in Australia. He takes the third foreign player spot with the Disciples besides William Thorp and Joshua Petersen.
