MOSQUITO Athletics win Game 1 of Consolation Series

MOSQUITO Athletics

Last year’s Austrian champion MOSQUITO ATHLETICS was eliminated by the SCHWAZ TIGERS in the semi-finals and has to settle for the third-place-series. On Saturday Walter Strasser struck out 15 batters to lead the A’s to a 3-0 shutout in game one of the consolation series against the UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS. The offense provided him with a 1-0 lead in the sixth and added two insurance runs in the ninth to seal the win. Games two and possible three will be played in Attnang-Puchheim next weekend.
