Moritz Sckaer returns to Cologne in May

Moritz SCKAER, Pitcher for the Cologne Cardinals will return for the 2008 season. The homegrown righthander, who establishe career highs in Innings Pitched and Strikeouts (70.0 IP, 54 K´s)last year, will join the team in late May after finishing the College Baseball season at Ottawa University in Kansas. SCKAER is expected to anchor a young pitching staff. He finished 6-4 with an ERA of 3.60 last season, helping the Cologne Team clinch a 6th consecutive playoff berth.
