Monika Perry to play for Sparks Haarlem after Italian Season

Posted on December 6, 2016December 6, 2016 by philipp

Reigning champion Sparks Haarlem has added Monika Perry to the roster for the 2017 season. The American pitcher transfers from Terrasvogels to Sparks, where she played during their championship season in 2013. However Perry won’t be available until the end of the season in the Italian Softball League. Since 2014 the Florida State University graduate is playing in Italy and will do so again next year.

Sparks Haarlem also has added 17-year-old talent Onaisha Franka. Her father is also transferring to the club, becoming an assistant coach on the staff of Peter van Dalen. Damishah Charles, Manoa Weijgertse and Cindy van der Zanden have left. Kirsten Scheele and Kiki Draaijer have retired.
